The Holy Piby is a Rastafari text written by an Anguillan, Robert Athlyi Rogers, for the use of an Afrocentric religion in the West Indies founded by Rogers in the 1920s, known as the Afro-Athlican Constructive Gaathly. The Holy Piby is one of the main texts of Rastafari Religious culture. A must for any African considering becoming Rastafari.
This version of the Holy Piby is the most comprehensive text and analysis of the work and teachings of Robert Athlyi Rogers. I have written an extensive guide to the text for Rastafari to learn more about the intellectual foundations of Rastafari history and culture.
The Promise Key is the second of a trilogy of books on Rastafari Religious culture. Written by Leonard P. Howell and published around 1935 under Howell’s Hindu pen name G.G. Maragh (for Gong Guru), meaning “teacher of famed wisdom.” This is my version of the Promised Key is presented with accompanying Introduction to the text.
